What exactly is auto detailing?
Auto detailing is the ability to bring a vehicle as close to "like new" as possible. A
professional auto detailer will use specific tools, products, and their skill to bring out the best possible
shine.
Minor paint problems such as oxidation (faded paint), light scratches, and scuff marks can be corrected using a
high speed buffer and compound.
Auto interiors can be renewed and will look and smell fresh when all the dirt and grime is extracted with a
heated extractor. For years used car dealers have used the services of professional auto detailers to transform the cars that
they take in on trade. These cars are sent to the detail shop in a condition that would be hard to resell. When they are returned
to the car dealer they look almost new again.
How often should I wax my car?
This is a question that I get a lot. Most industry recommendations will say from 30 to 90 days
between wax applications. I always recommend at least 3 or 4 times a year. Our climate in South Florida is brutal on your
cars finish.
In a perfect world, where you park under cover all day and your car is garage kept at night, you could get away
with a couple of times a year. It all depends on your personal preference and how much time and money you have to
spend.
How do I know which of your "detail packages" is right for me?
Newer or well maintained vehicles will be protected and look great with our express detail. Some cars need to be buffed with a high speed buffer to bring out the best
possible shine. I've written an article that goes into much greater detail on the subject here.
Of course, if you are selling your car or just want the best clean-up possible, I recommend our complete detail. We'll go over every square inch of your car to make it look as close to "like new" as
possible.
How long will it take?
That really depends on which of our services that you've chosen. We can do a complete interior in a
couple of hours. An express detail will also take a couple of hours. Our complete detail is a very thorough job and takes
at least a half day to complete.
Do you pick up and deliver?
I prefer not to drive a customers car. I would, however be more than happy to drive you back home
or to work in my vehicle and then pick you up when the vehicle is complete.
